What is PlanPTY?
PlanPTY is a digital guide that celebrates what makes Panama special: its people, its food, its two oceans and its mix of cultures. Hand-picked places, events and honest reviews — so locals rediscover their own country and visitors experience it beyond the Casco and the Canal.
How is it different from Google Maps or TripAdvisor?
We're 100% focused on Panama. A global algorithm doesn't know the difference between a fonda in Santa Ana and a restaurant in Costa del Este — we do. Reviews come from people who eat, travel and live here.
Is PlanPTY free?
Yes. Browsing places, events, the interactive map and the blog is completely free, and it will stay that way.
Is the content available in English?
We're getting there. Guides like our Panama entry requirements article are already in English, and full translations of place listings are on the roadmap. The interactive map works in any language.
Can I suggest a place or event?
Absolutely — that's the spirit of PlanPTY. Use the suggestion form on the site or write to us at info@planpty.com and we'll review it.
I own a business in Panama. Can I list it?
Yes, and it's free: your business gets a full page with photos, hours, map location and even a free digital QR menu if you run a restaurant. Write to info@planpty.com or message us on Instagram @plan.pty.
How do reviews work?
Reviews are written by registered users and moderated to keep them honest and useful. No pay-to-play: businesses cannot pay to remove or alter genuine reviews.
